Your Visit

Thank you for choosing CPT for your rehabilitation and therapy.

We encourage patients to arrive at least 10 minutes before every appointment so they are ready and prepared for treatment.

First Visit

In preparation for your first appointment, please bring in your therapy prescription, insurance information, diagnostic reports (e.g., x-ray, MRI) and any other relevant information that will help us treat you.

The first part of the initial evaluation will consist of an interview, which will include a review of your medical history and current symptoms. Be sure to tell your therapist about any previous therapy treatment you may have had, as well as the results. The next step is an extensive examination, which may include an evaluation of strength, range of motion, flexibility, posture and mobility and movement patterns. Additional tests may be conducted to assist with the assessment process.

After the interview and evaluation, the therapist will explain his/her assessment of your condition and present you with an individualized treatment plan.

All Visits

Patients should wear loose-fitting clothing so the therapist can access the area that will be treated. For example, if you have a knee problem, it may be best to wear shorts. You also should wear comfortable shoes as you may be asked to perform exercises where balance will be tested.

Treatment sessions typically last 30 to 60 minutes per session.

Talk to your therapist about any new symptoms or concerns that arise during treatment and always make sure to follow through with your home exercise program to help you attain your goals.
